Particulate air pollution in 1905

1905 Belruptstraße was a dead end, grew up on the grass. Under the heading “Submitted” one Bregenz citizens complained  bitter over the stepchild of the city. It was a shame that the road “partially covered by a green blanket coats, because the traffic is inhibited in the absence of a passage to the Empire Road”. The editorial staff comforting thought that “grass prevents the formation of dust, under which the city had to suffer.”  😉
